Rhys Adams (Aus)
______________________________________________________________________________

Rhys Adams (Aus)

Rhys played a season for Nepotists Cricket Club in 2009 and is one of several elite cricketers who have spent time in the Nepotists colours. He was an almost ‘First Class’ cricketer who came to the UK on holidays from Australia and somehow ended up at Nepo 'Lords' nets and decided the mighty lime green and magenta were the team for him.

Being an opening bowler at the top level and having played alongside such illustrious players as David Hussey, Chris Rogers, Bryce McGain and Dimitri Mascarenhas etc, decided it wouldn’t be fair on our opposition to blast them off the ground, so instead bowled off a shorter run-up, plus also bowled amazing leg spin to great success; ultimately winning the bowling trophy that year with an average of 14.8 runs/wk. With the bat, Rhys usually opened or went in at 3, and averaged 48.5 runs with a top score of 114 - so a genuine all-rounder.

Since returning to his home in Melbourne, Rhys has opened his own cricket coaching business called Elevate Sports Coaching who’s staff include former Australian opening batsman Chris Rogers - so no ‘fly-by-night’ operation. Well done to Rhys who keeps up to date with all things in Nepoland and remains part of the mailing list. So if anybody in Oz needs to have their blindfolded leg side swipes sorted out, click on the link above. Oh yeh.... and he also plays a mean guitar!
